Jack Murphy Jewellers partner with Cancer Fund for Children

Jack Murphy Jewellers are proud to announce our latest charity partnership with Cancer Fund for Children, a charity which aim to empower, connect and strengthen families, so that they feel equipped to deal with whatever cancer throws at them.

Cancer Fund for Children (CFFC) was founded in 1973 by Margaret McAlpine MBE, a teacher who had been recruited to provide continuity to children’s education whilst they are receiving treatment on the wards at Belvoir Park Hospital in Belfast. This then developed into Shimna Valley House in 1996, a residential support service aided by funds from the National Lottery and opened by local celebrity Patrick Kielty, offering families nursing a sick child a place of tranquillity.

Highly skilled, specialist staff have been recruited over the years to deliver specialist services while meeting the emotional needs of young people living with cancer throughout NI.

Gemma Murphy, Partner and Manager here at Jack Murphy Jewellers comments “We are delighted to be partnering with Cancer Fund for Children over the next 3 months. This charity provides amazing support services to children and young adults affected by cancer. We are so thankful that we have been given the opportunity to visit Daisy Lodge to learn more about the services provided by Cancer Fund for Children. We look forward to the bog run in October and hope that our followers will get involved too!”
