November babies have two beautiful birthstones to choose from, topaz and citrine. Both these gemstones are related to calming energies, bring fortune and warmth to the wearer.
Topaz come in a a rainbow of colours, from colourless, light blue, yellow, orange, pink, violet, brown and red. Topaz is believed to promote a long life, beauty and intelligence, when worn above the heart.

The second birthstone of November, Citrine, has been a victims of mistaken identity in the past with Topaz, therefore people believe they have the same calming properties.
The name Citrine is believed to have originated from the French word "lemon" and it traditionally given as a gift for a 13th wedding anniversary.
Also nicknamed as the "healing quartz", for centuries citrine has been praised for it ability to clear negative energy, while promoting happiness and healing.
This glowing gemstone was very popular in the Victorian era, with Queen Victoria adding elements of this stone to her royal jewellery collection.
Today Kate Middleton has been known to wear both topaz and citrine earrings.
