Air Ambulance NI Celebrate their 5th Anniversary!

Air Ambulance Northern Ireland (AANI) are celebrating their 5th anniversary throughout the month of July! The charity has been working in partnership with the Northern Irish Ambulance Service (NIAS) since 2017 to provide Helicopter Emergency Services (HEMS) in the region and have attended over 2,900 calls to date!

For the month of July, the Jack Murphy Jewellers team will be taking part in a 5K per day challenge to raise vital funds for AANI. Jack Murphy Jewellers will be donating to AANI on behalf of each team member to take part in the challenge. Our team can complete the 5K challenge in any way, walking, running, swimming or cycling! If you would like to join the team in the 5K per day challenge please post it on social media and tag us so that we can see your progress!

To celebrate the 5th anniversary AANI has launched its first ever skydive event which is scheduled to take place on the 27th August. If the sound of freefalling at 120mph from an aircraft excites you then register for the tandem parachute jump here. There are limited spaces available so be sure to register soon!

If you would like to get involved in other ways, there are a range of upcoming events such as abseils and a half marathon which can also be found on the AANI website.

AANI would not be able to function without the support of partnerships, members and sponsors. It costs £5,500 each day and £2 million per year to keep AANI operational. Serious or life-threatening situations can happen to any one of us at any time and roughly two people in NI need the air ambulance services per day.

Becoming an Air Ambulance Northern Ireland member is a simple and cost effective way to support the charity for just £2 per week. Regular donations through memberships enables AANI to predict their income which keeps their helicopters in the air. By becoming an AANI member you are creating sustainability for this crucial service throughout Northern Ireland - here at Jack Murphy Jewellers we are proud to be supporting such an amazing charity!
