Double Success at the Greater Newry Area Business Awards 2021!

Oh, what a night! Jack Murphy Jewellers took home two awards at the ‘Greater Newry Area Business Awards’ held in the Canal Court Hotel and Spa on Thursday 7th October.

Hosted by Broadcaster and Journalist, Sarah Travers, the ‘Greater Newry Area Business Awards’ recognise and reward excellence, right across many sectors of the local business community throughout the Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Area.

Best Customer Service

The first prestigious award received on the night was for ‘Best Customer Service (Independent Retailer)’. The judges commented that the winning business went above and beyond to accommodate client’s requests and described the customer experience as outstanding. The mystery shopper said they were treated with great professionalism, warmth and felt that their time was valued.

Gemma Murphy, Partner and Manager, Jack Murphy Jewellers commented: “We are delighted to have received this award. I was overjoyed to find out we excelled in the mystery shop, although it was not a surprise. This is a testament to our committed team who continue to go above and beyond in providing a memorable experience for all of our customers.”

Best Businesswoman

Later in the night, Partner and Manager Gemma Murphy, picked up the coveted award for ‘Best Businesswoman’. The judging panel was impressed how the overall winner has put her unique stamp on an already established business and brought it to a completely new level. Her personal energy and vision, together with how she has embraced e-commerce, driving a remarkable growth in sales at a challenging time for many similar businesses.

Gemma commented on her achievement: “This last year has been challenging in many ways, particularly in business. Throughout that time, I was supported by my family, the incredible Jack Murphy Jewellers team and our loyal customers. Although this award is a personal accolade, achievements like this would not be possible without my amazing support network. This award is as much a recognition of their achievements as it is of my own.”
