Jack Murphy Jewellers Donates £1,000 to the NI Transplant Association

In March, Jack Murphy Jewellers proudly donated £1,000 to the NI Transplant Association, after winning “Traitor” Gemma Mailey selected the charity following her “Dining with Diamonds” experience. The team were delighted to welcome Chairwoman Erica Ferguson to the showroom to personally accept the cheque, marking a meaningful occasion.

Inspired by the intrigue and drama of The Traitors, the evening brought together guests for an intimate long-table dining experience, blending diamonds and fine jewellery with storytelling and interactive entertainment. The event formed part of Jack Murphy Jewellers’ ongoing commitment to creating memorable luxury experiences within the showroom, while giving back to the community through charitable initiatives.

At the heart of the evening was a carefully curated Traitors-inspired experience, culminating in one standout moment. Gemma Mailey was crowned the evening’s winner and awarded the opportunity to select a charity to receive a £1,000 donation. She chose the Northern Ireland Transplant Association, a cause close to her heart.

Founded in 1991, the Northern Ireland Transplant Association is a volunteer-led charity dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by organ donation and transplantation. Its work spans several vital areas, including:

  • Emotional support and peer connection – offering guidance and linking patients and families with others who have experienced transplantation, helping them navigate a complex emotional journey.
  • Practical and financial assistance – raising funds to help families manage the real-life challenges that often accompany transplant procedures and recovery.
  • Awareness and advocacy – promoting organ donation across Northern Ireland, encouraging people to join the donor register and helping to save lives.
  • Community outreach and events – hosting fundraising initiatives, attending awareness days, and sharing real-life transplant stories to educate and inspire others.

Through this work, the charity plays a crucial role in supporting transplant recipients, donor families, and those awaiting life-saving procedures, while helping to increase understanding of the “gift of life.”

Speaking about the donation, Gemma Murphy, Director of Jack Murphy Jewellers, commented:
"While we’re passionate about creating unique luxury experiences, we’re equally committed to making a meaningful impact. Supporting our community and contributing to the vital work charities do is something we take great pride in, and we’re delighted to have the opportunity to support the Northern Ireland Transplant Association, alongside many other charities throughout the year."
