Jack Murphy Jewellers Take Over Paris to Mark 50 Golden Years in Business

Celebrating 50 Golden Years in business in Newry, the Jack Murphy Jewellers team enjoyed a weekend in Paris over the May Bank Holiday! The surprise trip was organised as a way of showing the jewellers appreciation for their team’s hard work and dedication since the jewellers’ humble beginnings in 1972.

With nothing left to chance, the weekend was planned to perfection!

Day 1: Our Arrival!

The Jack Murphy Jewellers team arrived in Paris where they were greeted by Jack and Pat Murphy who were patiently waiting for them at the hotel. Stunned by the beauty of the cobbled side streets and extravagant shop windows, the team quickly checked into the hotel and began to enjoy some leisure time exploring the wonderful city of Paris!

The team ended the night in style, celebrating the Parisian culture through some local food and delicious drinks. After a long day of travelling an early night was in order to prepare for the next two days full of activities.

Day 2:  Who in Paris?

The team were up bright and early channeling their inner Emily in Paris, starting the day with coffees and freshly baked croissants, before hopping on the hop-on-hop-off city bus tour. The team thoroughly enjoyed the tour and learning about the history of Paris which featured many popular tourist attractions such as the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Notre Dame and the Champs Elysees. The tour was perfect for the team’s short stay in Paris, showing them around all of the major sites across the city!

The team enjoyed a quick lunch at the Beccuti Bar thanks to their friendly staff, before travelling to Notre Dame to admire the beautiful French architecture. The team made the most of the beautiful weather exploring Paris before returning home to Newry!

Dinner was served at the amazing Mama Mia, an Italian restaurant providing tasty food and entertainment; the in-house DJ had our team singing and dancing their way through the night! In true Jack Murphy Jewellers style, our team were sure to make their trip a dazzling one, with a visit to watch the amazing Eiffel Tower sparkle at night – they were sure to make their last night in Paris a memorable one!

Day 3 – Last day blues!

On their final day the team checked out of the hotel and met up for one last meal in Paris. The team journeyed to Pink Mama for an Italian charcuterie style brunch, which of course featured some cocktails, before making the most of their final few leisurely hours in Paris.

The team parted ways to discover different parts of the beautiful city; some of the team went shopping along the Champs Elysees while others visited popular attractions such as the Louvre to soak up their final few hours in the French capital.

The celebratory trip ended with a relaxing boat ride along the River, Seine, featuring beautiful panoramic views of the city. The team passed many of the iconic monuments such as the Musee d’Orsay, Louvre and the Eiffel Tower, which was amazing to see via boat. It’s safe to say our team know how to say goodbye in style!

The time for our team to leave Paris had arrived – the team had an amazing trip celebrating the 50th anniversary of Jack Murphy Jewellers and recharging their batteries over the bank holiday! Now, time to get back to work…
