After celebrating 50 Golden Years in Business back in March, Jack Murphy Jewellers certainly got the event bug and decided to host their first event in their award winning Hill Street Showroom.
The evening showcased local wedding suppliers and to educate customers on what products and services are available within the local and surrounding areas. The exclusive, intimate event was a ticket only occasion to ensure brides had the personal JMJ experience.
The event featured beautiful weddings gowns and veils, bridal hair and make-up, skincare advice, and beautiful selection of bridal shoes, along with some amazing spot prizes!
Guests enjoyed a red-carpet arrival, greeted with a glass of champagne, followed by some browsing time to get to know the local suppliers on hand. Guests grabbed a cocktail before sitting down to enjoy the fashion show, hosted by the amazing stylist and fashion show producer, Rebecca McKinney.
The beautiful Lucy Spratt and Danielle Renaghan modelled a range of dresses from both White Blossom Bridal and Elody Bride. White Blossom Bridal is a Bridal Boutique offering clients a relaxed yet intimate shopping experience, specialising in chic and on-trend dresses which are contemporary, bringing something different to the Bridal world. Perfectly situated at the foot of the Mourne Mountains, along Carlingford Lough in Warrenpoint, Co. Down, White Blossom Bridal is in the ideal location for brides all over Ireland as they are situated approximately one hour from Belfast and one hour from Dublin. White Blossom Bridal feature designers such as Chana Marelus, Charlie Brear and Sophie Et Voila.

Elody Bride has been established in the City of Newry for over 15 years, situated between The Quay’s and Buttercrane shopping centres, it is the ideal location for a day of wedding shopping, also located approximately one hour from Belfast and one hour from Dubin! Elody Bride provides a unique range of bespoke services, including alterations on all dresses ordered in-store. Sharon, the owner of Elody Bride studied BSc Fashion Management, priding herself on the fact that she knows dresses ‘inside out’. Elody Bride’s designers included Justin Alexander and Enzoani.

Following the fashion show, Rebecca spoke with Chimeme, owner of COR Cosmetics, a luxury and cruelty free make up brand, offering 5 star in-house make up services. COR Cosmetics specialises in bridal and semi-permanent make up. Chimene talked the audience through her chosen bridal looks, answering any questions throughout. Next up was Andrea from Rouge Beauty Clinic who has been working in the skincare industry for 26 years. Andrea talked all things skincare, providing tips in the run up to your wedding. Andrea highlighted the importance of not changing your skincare routine in the 6 weeks prior to your wedding to avoid blemishes or breakouts on the big day, as it may take time for your skin to adjust to new products.

JMJ’s very own Partner and Manager, Gemma Murphy talked through all jewellery looks, current and upcoming trends and provided advice while answering any questions that the audience had. Gemma used her expert knowledge to perfectly match the jewellery to each dress, advising the audience on what pieces work well with various dress styles. Shoes were provided by Veronica’s collection, a shoe boutique specialising in bridal footwear based just outside of Newry. The bridal hairstyles were by Teresa Fergus, a bridal hairstylist with 35 years of industry experience.
Following the event, the JMJ team were on hand to answer any questions or queries regarding wedding bands and jewellery, providing customers with the perfect opportunity to browse and try on various styles of rings while in the presence of their loved ones for advice and opinions.
The event provided the perfect evening of bridal inspiration while encouraging attendees to shop local!
