How long have you worked with Jack Murphy Jewellers for? “It’s hard to believe I’ve been working with Jack Murphy Jewellers for over 3 years now, and I feel very lucky to have been a part of its amazing growth, despite the challenges presented by the pandemic!
“I’ve loved every moment of it so far and look forward to seeing what the future holds for this amazing family-run jewellers.”
Describe a typical working day for you? “Since I first started working with Jack Murphy Jewellers, my role has expanded massively. Initially it was just myself managing the marketing, with Facebook being our main platform online and traditional forms of marketing still being very much a big part of our strategy.
“However, since the pandemic, I’m now supported by a team of three and we have shifted our strategy to become more digitally focused as it provides a direct line of communication with our audience.
“My day can really vary from working with influencers, to planning and content creation, applying to and attending awards, working with local charities and managing events. The list does go on but as a team we are constantly reviewing our marketing strategy and how we can continue to improve on this daily – with the goal of enhancing our customers journey both online and in-store.”
Favourite part of your job? “Its hard to pick one aspect of my job that I love, but I really do enjoy that marketing gives you the freedom to be creative and encourages the use of storytelling to grow a brand. I particularly love that social media allows you to connect with your audience on a deeper level, which during the pandemic, I often found so heart-warming as people reached out to share their personal stories through our ‘Lockdown Love Stories’ series – which at the time, I could relate to personally.
“I’m also very lucky to work with the best team of people, who not only support you in work but also outside of it too. You wouldn’t believe it, but we really are like one big family!”
What is your favourite piece of jewellery?
"I absolutely love my locket from Jack Murphy Jewellers that my mum gave to me on my wedding day. It’s a piece of jewellery that holds a special place in my heart and is something that one day, I can hopefully pass on to the next generation.”
