Gemma and team raise incredible £2,500 for Evora Hospice Care
Four members of the Jack Murphy Jewellers team faced their fears at the top of Belfast’s Europa Hotel and raised an incredible £2,500 for Evora Hospice Care.
On Sunday 20th September, Gemma, Patrick, Méabh and David took on a charity abseil to support Evora Hospice Care, formerly known as the Southern Area Hospice Services. There were plenty of nerves at the top, but all four took the leap and made it safely down, cheered on by supporters below.

Supporting vital care in our community
Evora Hospice Care provides specialist care and support to patients and families across our local community. We’re proud that the £2,500 raised by our team and supporters will help the charity continue its vital work and move closer to its fundraising target.
The generosity we received was extraordinary. Customers, friends, family and members of the wider community donated, shared our fundraiser and sent messages of encouragement. Every contribution helped turn a nerve-racking challenge into something truly worthwhile.
A huge thank you
This afternoon, we were delighted to present a cheque for £2,500 to the team at Evora Hospice Charity.

Thank you to everyone who supported us, and a special well done to Gemma, Patrick, Méabh and David for taking on the abseil. We’re incredibly proud of what we achieved together for a charity that does so much for local families.
